Just to prove that not all University courses are dull --- Here's what I'll be studying in the upcoming East Asian Cinema module of my East Asian Studies degree: Each week on a Friday we're going to have a film viewing and then discussions. I'm pretty pleased than the tutor has chosen a good mixture of recent and classic films. 1. Rashomon. 2. Chihwason. 3. Farewell My Concubine. 4. The tale of Chunyang. 5. Tampopo. 6. Chungking Express. (A favourite ^^) 7. Address Unknown. 8. The story of Qiu Ju. 9. Love letter. 10. Beijing Bicycle. (already in my collection ^^) 11. Princess Mononoke. I've only see two of the above --- so I was wondering if anyone had any comments on what I'm to expect from the other films?
I've seen only two of those movies too and Princess Mononoke is one of the best anime movies I've seen. That's one cool course you have there! Wish I had one like that too... :mrgreen:
