the curse of the golden flower is a really beautiful film. the sets and costumes are amazing and Gong li is outstanding as the empress. I'm going to have to admit getting a bit tearful at times, but don't tell anyone!
I thought the film had great cinematography and the wardrobe was outstanding but its paper-thin story really weakened the film. Nice eye candy but not much else.
